A Singles Prayer

 

Lord, we seek to find a relationship with the only

true source of fulfillment, You, Jesus. 

Guide our actions to strengthen our spirits and

release past pain, through Your word. 

Heal our wounds and bring us wisdom

in all of our relationships. 

Help us to seek You first and see

our fullness in You. 

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

 

 

What is The Singles Ministry?

        The Singles Ministry is a welcoming community that encourages Christ-centered growth, service and celebration.  Together we are growing personally and spiritually as well as celebrating life and enjoy fellowship with other singles.

We aim to provide an environment where singles can develop their relationship and become passionate servants of God and use the gifts & talents, given to them, to fully share Christ’s love in our church as well as out in the world. 

        We encourage each other, wherever we are in our spiritual journey and in whatever season of single life we are in while making new and lasting friendships.  We, as single adults, cannot allow a root of bitterness to spring up and block our prayers to God, our fellowship with others, and our service to the church.  Deferred hopes cannot be allowed to corrode our thankfulness for the gift of salvation.

        As single adults, we have the special opportunity and an upper hand over the people in relationships – we have more time to invest in getting to know and serving God, serving His kingdom and sharing Him with other people in our lives.  This is a special opportunity that God has placed in our paths.

        Developing our relationship with God is a matter of spiritual attention and authenticity, recognizing our soul’s purpose, and paying attention to His voice. We are God’s own personal design and we’re on the path He put us on.  The only way to relate to Him is through us: our fears, our failures, and our falsehood, as well as our trust, our commitment, and our potential.  God is working through us - He is transforming us from inside out.

        The Singles Ministry is open to all single (never married, divorced, widows and widowers) or dating adults (21+) regardless of sex, sexual orientation, or membership status (you do not need to be a member of MCCSA to participate). 

 

 

When do we meet? 

        This ministry generally meets every 2nd Sunday of each month but sometimes have get togethers 2-3 times a month.  Our meetings include, but are not limited to, prayer to begin each meeting, words of God are shared, an offering is taken and the planned activity begins.
